The Axis of Evil's squeaky wheel.
I think North Korea is looking for attention. Without too many key allies, and with China looking away a little, they have to save face. Nuclear war wouldn't be in North Korea's best interest. In fact, it would be detrimental to their survival. The testing is bringing the world together, united against Kim Jong-Il. I feel for the innocent people who have to live in such a closed world.

Quit harping on Harper.
Harper is taking the heat, but we have to remember that he wasn't the prime minister who committed troops to Afghanistan. At times like this the world needs to be united and we need to play a role. Canada has to step up to the plate, perhaps in part to support the US. But how quickly would the US come to our aid?

UN-Effective?
The UN seems to be trying but there are too many powerful entities at work, which often limits them. There are many strings pulling at the UN … the USA is just one of them … perhaps one of the stronger ones because of their financial interests.
